Ein Kracher für den Powerman Alsdorf! Mit Marlene De Boer wird am 12. April eine absolute Top-Athletin bei der Duathlon-Europameisterschaft in Alsdorf an den Start gehen!

Die Profi-Triathletin aus Amsterdam sorgte zuletzt mit Platz 10 bei der Ironman-Weltmeisterschaft auf Hawaii für internationales Aufsehen – ein echtes Weltklasse-Ergebnis! 2025 gewann sie außerdem den Ironman 70.3 Westfriesland sowie die Challenge Turku.

In diesem Jahr möchte sich die Niederländerin erneut für Hawaii qualifizieren und neue sportliche Herausforderungen angehen – wie einen Duathlon. Dass sie sich für ihre Duathlon-Premiere ausgerechnet den Powerman Alsdorf ausgesucht hat, ehrt uns ganz besonders. Empfohlen wurde ihr unser Rennen – mit Organisation, Strecke und Stimmung – von Marieke Brouwers, die mit Marlene befreundet ist und 2022 in Alsdorf EM-Bronze gewann.

Die Beteiligung einer Top-10-Athletin aus Kona hebt das EM-Rennen der Elite-Frauen auf ein neues Level – und setzt vielleicht den Impuls für weitere Hochkaräter, sich ebenfalls für Alsdorf anzumelden.

Natürlich freuen wir uns genauso auf viele Altersklassen-Athleten sowie Freizeitsportler, die am 12. April Teil unseres Events werden wollen. Seid dabei!

A big hit for Powerman Alsdorf! Marlene De Boer, a top athlete, will be competing in the European Duathlon Championships in Alsdorf on 12 April.

The professional triathlete from Amsterdam recently attracted international attention by finishing 10th at the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii – a truly world-class result! In 2025, she also won Ironman 70.3 Westfriesland and Challenge Turku.

This year, the Dutch athlete wants to qualify for Hawaii again and take on new sporting challenges – such as a duathlon. We are particularly honoured that she has chosen the Powerman Alsdorf for her duathlon debut. Our race – with its organisation, course and atmosphere – was recommended to her by Marieke Brouwers, who is friends with Marlene and won bronze at the European Championships in Alsdorf in 2022.

The participation of a top 10 athlete from Kona takes the European Championship race for elite women to a new level – and may inspire other top athletes (both female and male) to register for Alsdorf as well.
