POWERMAN Alsdorf

Allgemeines

On 09 May 2027, the European Championships will be held for the fourth time and the German Championships in duathlon for the tenth time in a row in Alsdorf town centre. This will make the city of Alsdorf and the StädteRegion Aachen a stronghold for athletes from all over Germany and Europe.

But that’s not all! The POWERMAN Alsdorf is part of the POWERMAN Duathlon World Series. This is the largest duathlon brand in the world with sprint, short and long distances. The European and German Championships for elite and age group athletes take place over the distance of 10 kilometres running, 60 kilometres cycling and 10 kilometres running.

Wettkämpfe

POWERMAN Sprint

The Eschweiler Marathon Club offers the very popular POWERMAN Sprint distance of 5 kilometres running, 20 kilometres cycling and 5 kilometres running for everyone. This distance is intended to whet the appetite of beginners and convince them of the sport of duathlon. Due to the championships, the starting contingent had to be limited to 200 participants. The 5 kilometre run course consists of 2 flat laps through Alsdorf city centre. The 20 kilometre bike course is an undulating turning point course on completely closed federal roads. Prizes of honour or non-cash prizes will be awarded for places 1-3 in the overall standings (m/f) and age groups.

POWERMAN Classic Elite Men & Women

The elite will compete over 10 kilometres of running, 60 kilometres of cycling and 10 kilometres of running. In addition to the title and a lot of prestige, prize money totalling €5,000 is available for the elite competition (international).

POWERMAN Classic with World & German Championships

The German Championships for age group athletes and the POWERMAN Open race will take place over the same distance as the elite, 10 kilometres running, 60 kilometres cycling and 10 kilometres running. The 10 kilometre run course consists of 4 flat laps through Alsdorf city centre. The 60 kilometre bike course is an undulating turning point course on completely closed federal roads, which has to be completed three times. Prizes of honour or non-cash prizes will be awarded for 1st to 3rd place in the overall standings (m/f) and 1st to 3rd place in the age groups.
